Re: 66 comet windshield
I bought mine with the front and rear windows missing, both have the worlds worst adhesive stuck around the edges. Do you happen to know how they removed the old sealant? I've tried a few methods that seem to just fall short. I'd love to get mine cleaned up so I can install both when they arrive.

Monte Carlo Bar Question
Hey Everyone, I was curious as I've seen other Ford models use the Monte Carlo strut braces if it was something that would fit to our 66-67's. I've just ordered a Hellwig front swaybar but I'd like to do as much as I can to stiffen the body/suspension. If not the monte carlo bar, is there one on the...

Re: 66 comet windshield
Glad to see some questions I was about to ask come to light again. Luckily I found someone parting out a 4-door and I was able to snag the front/rear windshield. Not to hijack the post, but could anyone tell me if there is a solid source for new seals that are meant to fit the 4 door models? I've be...

Re: Steering Column Cover Removal
I apologize if the post was a bit misleading, I'm planning to remove the column cover so I can sand/paint the dash as well as the cover. I'll be working on it this evening so I'll try to get pictures if I run into any issues. The steering wheel has been removed as well as everything within the shift...

Steering Column Cover Removal
Hey Everyone, So not only am I wanting to pull the cover to clean and respray it, I'm also looking to convert from column to floor shift. I'm wanting to get to get everything removed and sorted so I can complete this but I'm having a few issues on removal that I'm sure are super simple. I've removed...

Re: Lug Stug HELP!!!
I can snag a picture this evening when I'm able. I've been doing some digging and it looks as though the knurl diameter of a factory Comet stud is 0.685 inches. The unfortunate thing is that I can only seem to find an M12x1.50 stud with about a max of 12.8mm knurl size which equates to around 0.503 ...

Re: Lug Stug HELP!!!
I knocked one loose and took it to my local parts store. Unfortunately they were of no help and ACTAULLY had me search through their behind the counter inventory to look for things myself. I was totally fine to do so but just thought it was odd they'd let a customer rummage around. I wound up grabbi...

Lug Stug HELP!!!
Hey guys and Gals, I'm in the middle of replacing the front/rear suspension on my 66 and came across a bit of an odd issue I'm kind of bringing on myself. I have a set of deep set circle track wheels I've been meaning to use that require the use of lug nuts with a 45 degree chamfer to mount properly...

Re: 66 Rear Bumper
Not sure if you’re against going the fiberglass route but Crites has reproduction fronts and rears for $211 a piece. I’ve been contemplating going with theirs and having a local vinyl shop wrap them both in Chrome vinyl. For the cost of both bumpers and the work to have them wrapped it’s cheaper the...

Re: Discerning Brake Size (HELP!)
I've considered bumping the fronts up to disc for the safety and performance increase. Do any of the sites out there sell kits piece by piece? I was looking around the other day at more affordable options but even conversions like the Granada swap seem to be up there with some of the more budget fri...

Re: Seat upgrades
They look great! I saw that they come with sliders, but sell a universal bracket to fit them to the floor. I can imagine they aren't a perfect fit being universal, but I've had a bit of experience with other cars welding up custom seat brackets. Glad to hear you like them, I'll probably be snagging ...

Re: Seat upgrades
Sorry to drag up an old post, but did you ever decide to jump on the Procars? I've been toying with the same idea to toss my bench (which is literally just a metal frame at this point) and upgrade to their low back seats in Black. For the price of two it's still way less of a blow to my wallet than ...

Discerning Brake Size (HELP!)
Hey everyone! So I'm in a bit of a predicament. I'm wanting to go ahead and order brakes all around for my 66 Caliente, but I'm struggling to figure out what size drums/shoes/hardware I need. I figured It'd be a relatively simple process but now I'm a bit stumped. From the looks of it I have the opt...

Dashboard Sag Fix?
So I know we’re all a bit unfortunate with our 66 dash pads seeing as justdashes looks like the only main go-to for repairs and restoration. And while that’s awesome and the work they do is outstanding, the price that comes with it doesn’t agree with my wallet, my budget, or my wife  SO, I’m lo...

Re: 66 Caliente “more” door
Hey Caveman! I'm located in Louisville Kentucky. Luckily I've got all the exterior bits and pieces I need, a rear bumper is really the one thing I'm hoping will pop up somewhere. Unfortunately mine is a bit past the point of repair. But I am really keeping an eye out for interior goodies! Funny enou...
