65 Comet Dual Exhaust issue
I recently installed 2.5" dual exhaust and it comes dangerously close to the rear brake hose. Can anyone offer a solution to reroute or lengthen the hose to avoid contacting the tail pipe? I know the 65 Mustang dual exhaust had a different set of brake lines and brake hose that moved the junction bl...

Re: ISO 65 Front turn signal /park light housings
Do you have any housings to start with or just looking for better ones? I may have a set but the wire leads were cut and the housings have dings. Better than nothing. I think you can use Ford Bronco sockets, but I haven’t tried myself. I don’t need a dash panel, but if I find them we can work someth...

Fuel Tank Install
When I removed my tank I noticed what appeared to be some type of bedding compound. Almost like plumbers putty between the tank flange and the trunk floor. Does anyone know what this might be? I assume it needs something in between these two surfaces. The "bedding compound" was not adhered and was r...

Lou,
My apologies. I went back and found your original post detailing the gauge work. Really impressive.

Re: Lou's 65 Comet Build
Lou your dash looks great. Where did you source the bezel? Does that mount in the original location without modification?

Re: 1963 Comet Custom Build Thread
Technically that vent hole should have a fitting installed with a hose routed up high.

Re: 65 Rear trim fasteners
Not sure if you are looking for original, but if you don't care if they are original or not these would work. You can trim the wire to fit or even take the wire off if need be. I use these universal fasteners a lot . They come in many sizes, are cheap and are easy to modify, ( grind to fit etc.) I ...

Re: 65 Rear trim fasteners
If you're talking about the trim pieces across the back of a Cali or Cyclone, this is it. https://cometcentral.com/photos/images/2022/02/27/d1b284645dc3fe294a8bc6af735c7293.jpg Jim Thanks Jim. I saw that in the manual but couldn’t find a part number or description. I think I found one actually stuc...

65 Rear trim fasteners
Does anyone have a picture or a source for the fasteners that secure the 3 aluminum trim pieces between the tail lights? I assume it is some type of T-head bolt?
