Use a NAPA CRB-29200 valve.
The suppliers like Ecklers do not always spec the correct parts especially for engines. Trust NAPA.

Re: 1965 Comet Caliente (little red)
Eaton is correct, the preferred angle of the shackle should be off center to the rear but not too close to the frame rail when there is weight on the springs. The shackle needs to move when the spring flexes, it seems that your springs have quite a bit of arch in them. You may want to remove one lea...

Re: Front spindle/ Caliper Bracket
It is not a Mustang two, they were front steer. A part number off the spindle would help immensely, trying to figure it out with one picture is difficult.
Why do you need the info? Brakes? Bearings? Tie rod ends?

Re: brake light switch
Use a Motorcraft SW6347 switch, it mounts to the brake pedal with no modifications. All that needs to be done is to lengthen the existing wires, run them into the passenger compartment, and install female spade terminals. I have this switch on my Cyclone, I am not a fan of pressure style brake light...

Re: Will a C6 transmission bolt up to a 351W block?
Only if it is a small block C6. Most of them are for big block engines so you have to locate a C6 that was behind something like a 351C. Make sure you know the difference between a 351C and a 351M, the M has a big block bell housing bolt pattern. You may have to do some modifications to the tunnel o...

Re: 1964 Cyclone Steering wheel Assembly / Horn Ring Diagram
Here are the part numbers I found in my parts catalog from 1964.
Steering Wheel, C3DZ-3600-J (fits body 63E which is a Cyclone) might be the same as a 1963 Falcon Sprint.
Horn Ring- C4GY-13A800-D
I hope this helps.

Re: 1964 Mercury Comet Caliente Build
Darryl, I used the master cylinder that came with the combination valve from MPB, my thoughts were to try and keep it and see if it would work with the residual check valves and the adjustable proportioning valve, it did so I kept it. I used a NOS Kelsey Hayes adjustable proportioning valve that I h...

Re: 1964 Mercury Comet Caliente Build
Don’t do it. I tried the MPB combination valve when I initially built my Comet. I tried everything but could not get a firm pedal, I bled the system with three different types of machines, adjusted the calipers to make sure the were shimmed correctly ( Baer) and made sure the lines did not have any ...

Re: Best cooling AC for Las Vegas extreme heat?
Joe is correct, without a large enough radiator your air conditioning system will over heat the engine especially in Vegas. Big is better when it comes to radiators and engine cooling. As I have mentioned previously I am not a fan of aluminum radiators but that is just my opinion. Here is what I am ...

Re: 67 Caliente broken trunk torsion bar
I have a buddy who welds, and he said he can fix the one I have. We'll see if it holds. Been there done that. It will not hold. The torsion bars are spring steel, they have way too much carbon to be able to be welded plus the heat will aneal the spring. When I shortened mine I sleeved them and mill...

Re: 1964 Mercury Comet Caliente Build
You’re making great progress, looking good! As for the parking brake, I did convert mine to a pedal instead of the under dash lever, I used an after market unit from Control Cables. I would recommend you look for a pedal assembly that has a release lever, the one I used is released by pushing the pe...

Re: How many different OHV V8s has Ford made?
The MEL series of big block FoMoCo engines were kind of obscure. Used only in select Mercury’s, Lincoln’s, and all Edsel’s.

Re: ‘64 Cyclone at Kissimmee
Yes but Jim, you built yours. How much would it cost to have that one built? Even a 66-7 Mustang where everything is available and doesn't need to be 1)found, and 2) restored is way more. I was referring to what I believe these cars are worth which not necessarily what the owner has invested. The a...
