Dave, this is a Mustang site for installing the T-5, most of the instructions are the same, there is a plate for the sixes, at least there used to be or we can probably come up with the pattern to make your own, I will have to continue looking for the link to the adapters. http://www.mustangmonthly....

I think that you can convert them but one of early model guys will have to chime in on that, I know by '64 they were electric maybe in '63 and that would be the best opportunity for I swap I would think.

I would suggest the 200cid as opposed to the 250cid it will fit much better.

Welcome to the forum Dave.

People put V-8s in all the time, most of the changes are front-end parts and someone who has done it can give a complete run down of things needed, it is all bolt in stuff, some guys just run the 6 cyl suspension without any trouble and just swap out springs.

Sounds like something in the fuel line, you should be able to blow air through it and get a good blast, with it being intermittent that is not good.

I would check all my lines again, if I were you.

The dash is probably wood inserts, I would say you have lost the insert on the instrument cluster, if you need one, I have one but I think it is in pretty poor shape, I would have to check and make sure it doesn't have any missing pieces, it would have to be restored in any case. If you want it let ...

Can you give us a general idea of your location? You don't have to be specific and probably shouldn't be in an open forum like this. Everyone will watch out for a bargain for you, and let us know before you buy, don't let the desire overcome common sense, we will try and let you know if it is a good...

How far is back and forth? I grew up in the non-fuel injected days when you didn't just go out turn the key and go, you had to warm 'em up in the winter and sometimes it took special rituals to even get them to start, once you overcome this cars really haven't changed alot in the last 100 years, sti...
