Re: Car Lift
links are good! Scissor lifts have their purpose but any drive on restricts wheel access unless sliding jacks are involved and then front end rebuilds can be a challenge. Essential every lift has advantages and disadvantages, I like the cassettes for a variety of reasons but that might not line up w...

Re: Car Lift
I did NOT read the 4 pages up to this point so if this has been brought up, shut me next time you see me. Have you considered a cassette lift?? A new take on an in ground 2 post. Self contained, enviro friendly, no post to bag the doors on and very little access limit to the undercarriage if any at ...

Re: 351 Cleveland fuel pump eccentric
Put a new pump on today and it pumped properly and ran fine for a short test drive. I have a few other things to work out and then a fun test drive. So for conclusion, the 2 piece sourced from a 351M/400 works on a Cleveland with a double roller with 3/16 to 1/4 inch clearance on the timing cover. T...

Re: 63 Comet dash assembly question
Thanks for the info all, it was Bruce's thread. I don't actually need the dash, but Aunt Lou is getting to the point were I need to go back through her and I will need to paint the dash this time and of course redo the cluster and install the new dash pad. As some of you know I have a few brand Xs a...

Re: New Maverick+Lightning
Electric vehicles are an environmental hoax. The carbon footprint to build and destroy them far surpass that of a gas burner. The electricity they use is generally created by oil and coal. I will make this argument with most of my vehicles but Aunt Lou is extremely environmentally friendly, she was ...

63 Comet dash assembly question
I saw on another thread were there was a 63 dash assembly for sale, it made me question whether or not the dash unbolts as an assembly or if it was cut out. I always thought they were part of the car, the car was being parted out so it could've been cut out. So my question is, does it unbolt??? Than...

Re: Parted Out '63 Comet Convertible, Will Ship, you pay, or P/ U
So what you're saying is if it's not still listed on your first post on page 1 of this thread, it's not available. And if it is still listed it is available.

Re: 351 Cleveland fuel pump eccentric
I had not but now I have, it's a 2 piece. Thank you for the link. My hunch was right, I ran down to a little boneyard time forgot this afternoon and went into the engine shed and there was a 351m/400 with the water pump off of it and sitting on the trans end. I removed the remaining bolts, pried the...

Re: 351 Cleveland fuel pump eccentric
After more reading I think I am starting to put the picture together but I'd really like confirmation from someone who knows. It appears there are 2 types of eccentrics, a 1 piece which might be an early and a 2 piece that might be a late. The 1 piece is thicker than the 2 piece, maybe 1/8 thicker. ...

Re: 351 Cleveland fuel pump eccentric
Thank you Fred, I saw that as well but it appeared to be a kit of some sort that has a 2 piece eccentric. From some reading it appears there are 2 different depths eccentric that interchange between engines with the same one but I couldn't find anything that was clear on which engines used which dep...

Re: 2021 Comet Gathering in Pigeon Forge TN
I got home about 11:00 last night. We were really pleased with the turn out and again we had many who said what a great time they had and that they'll be back, time will tell. I think there were 8 or 9 65 Cyclones with 4 speeds, that's gotta be a record in itself. My count was 24 on the ground at on...

351 Cleveland fuel pump eccentric
Good afternoon all, After getting back from the Gathering I have to think about the real world again and the Cleveland sitting in the shop. I determined that it was missing the fuel pump eccentric and since I was replacing the water pump I went ahead and pulled it down and I was correct. Now my chal...

Re: 2021 Comet Gathering in Pigeon Forge TN
We're the tent reading the latest and we agreed we had 11 or 12 last year so not more yet but Thursday morning last year we had 4 cars so way ahead now. 5 new cars and people, 2 new cars from old people, 10 on the ground and a lot of "see ya this afternoons". We believe we will have a record year fo...
