Smailes' Wheels

I was cruzin around the Forum and found an old post about the wheels on my 64 Caliente. They are an old set of Gasser slots. 3.5-15 on the front and 15-10s out back. They don't show in the pics here but they have Mooneye bullit tip centre caps and matching lug nuts. I think the wheels discussed in t...

Supercharged V6 Sassy

Check hard core for the rest of the story! Due to some family issues,(unhappy ones) I ended up driving the Comet out to BC last week instead of in May. It was a bit COLD! I took the heater out to run the computor wires to the interior so we could lay the computer on the floor (never got to mounting ...

To the Calif. Caliente
I used the supercharged V6 from an 89 Couger XR7.
It's in a 64 Caliente featured in the Photo Gallery on the
second page. I also have the car in Cardomain and will
post some mod pics there soon!

Hi all, well spent the last week back east working on the V6 project. To my delight it runs. But what a week, lived in a boler camper in the parking lot of the shop where I was working on the car. The first night it went down to 0' F and I challenged my sanity! It got better after that and the best ...

upset

Rod,now that you mention it I recently meet a fellow that built a a really neat rat rod of an old Overlander(?) I think. The fellow was Chev through and through but like any true rodder needed to be different. So he streched the engine bay and built a 235-6, Chevy but different. So I agree put a hea...

upset!

I think probably upset. The car is what it is, and it seems if they want an old car it needs to have muscle. If Barret-jackson is an indication not only a V8 but cubic inch in access of 400 would be preferable. With that kind of pressure anyone who likes your car thinks they should be able to steal ...

the mav

If the mav runs good and it's the power train you want and the price is reasonable BUY IT! Most of the stuff is very close and junkyard parts will get it the rest of the way. The drive shaft is likey short cause the wheelbase of the mav is about 8 inches shorter(I think,:measure it!) The spindles on...

Dale Sr in a Ford ?

I doubt if Dale senior would roll over in the grave if the money was right, after all he drove a Ford back in 83 that I know of. I seen him drive Bud Moore's 15 at Daytona '83. As far as Mark Martin, well I cheer for Fords and the people who drive them! Drivers come and go, to them its about driving...
