A little under the weather so progress has been slow. Front pans are ok, now fitting up rear toes for final install.

Pop; If I didn't know better I would think the previous owner (neglecter is more like it) used it as a goldfish pond. At least the rockers and crossmenber were solid. Thanks for the comments.

Re: 64 Convertible floor pan repairs. . . .
Completed initial fab work on floor pans. They're just laying in the car right now prior to my sanding / grinding everything down for the final install. Now to pull the incorrect 302, weld in the pans, and the install a correct 64 5 bolt 289. Anyone have a pic of a 64 Comet V8 engine compartment so ...

Re: New member from Eastern TN - couple of 64's
Everyone - Thanks for the warm reception. I truly enjoy these old cars and am still young so I have lots of plans . . . . . Just hoping to be able to get to them in a timely manner. The convertible will be going back pretty much original but the hardtop I'm leaning towards an FE motor . . . . That's...

I'm on a mission. Hammered out 2 pans in 2 days - at this rate I'll finish before spring. We all know that won't happen, though.

Re: New member from Eastern TN - couple of 64's
Ok - here's a test to see if I can work this photobucket or need assistance. For a bit of backstory, I've heard of barn finds but never drug one out of the basement of a burnt down house! Talk about a survivor. . . . http://i1320.photobucket.com/albums/u538/CometsFalcons/burntbasement_zpse203be33.jpg

64 Convertible floor pan repairs. . . .
Thought I would bring everyone up to speed. When I brought my convertible home I knew I would have to replace some of the floor pans, but upon disassembly boy was I suprised. I've used reproduction pans in the past, and had to cut and trim to make them fit, so I decided to build my own replacements ...

Here's a pic attempt of the 64's on the days I brought them home. Bear with me while I figure this out. http://s1320.beta.photobucket.com/user/CometsFalcons/media/DSCN1522_zps0e8ebece.jpg.html#/user/CometsFalcons/media/DSCN1203_zps7dd5ec59.jpg.html?&_suid=13596335240780042581018118478975 http://s132...

New member from Eastern TN - couple of 64's
Hello to all. New member here so I figured I would introduce myself. I've been a member over at the TFFN for quite a while and have a small collection of Ford and Mercury products . . . . Currently have a 64 Caliente Convertible (factory V8, buckets, ps); a 64 Caliente hardtop (also a factory V8 car...
