Re: Lavron's '64 Build Thread

This may be a stupid question but having a pan with two low spots and a pickup in only one doesn't the oil in the other low spot just sit there?

Re: Salt on the roads

Hey, Trent....the only thing that would make that sig pic better would be to get rid of the power line coming to the barn. I made a crude attempt at it using Paint, but you could probably do a jamb-up job with Photoshop. Jim https://i.postimg.cc/hjB9p5pM/comet-round-barn-may-18-sm-zpshsqp5wt...

Re: Salt on the roads

I drive mine all winter on & off. all they do here most of the time is spray the liquid brine down. but you guys up north I just wait on a good rain, a substantial downpour, not just a gentle soaker. Your gut & hair on back of your neck will know  btw Trent that is a beautiful sig pic!! what is...

Re: Salt on the roads

Thanks for everybody's two cents. When temperatures are getting to 60 you just want to get out and go on a long drive. I am thinking I need to fix up my truck so I don't miss the Comet so much during the winterr.

Salt on the roads

Hello from the thawing north. It has been about two weeks since the city poured salt over the roads and the street sweepers have been through most of the roads once. I am itching to get the Comet out but I still see salt on the side of the roads. How long do all of you wait before taking your summer...

I agree on the engine and figured somebody would notice. I am hoping that the wrong brand engine is what is bringing the price down so low.

Gasser on Facebook

I saw this on Facebook marketplace this weekend. Seems to good to be true but I thought I would share it anyway.

Re: Rack and pinion "upgrade" . . . . . ?

I would really pay attention to the turning radius. I have the Unisteer with a Ididit column. Install and fit was fine but the turning radius makes getting around a parking lot a challenge.

Re: My Comet was hit

I got my Comet back and the work itself looks good but he was not able to get the stripes to match the other side exactly. I figured that would happen because there are so many different colors fogged over the top. I included pictures below. I am just keeping in mind that this is a driver and not a ...

Re: Exhaust

I might be a little late but I just installed Headman shorty headers with 2 1/2" and an H pipe out the back with Cherry Bomb Pro mufflers, not glasspacks, and they sound quieter than I expected but nice and deep. I have video of before and after if I can find a way to post it. Let me know if you wan...

Re: Arctic Vortex blues

I thought we had it bad at -10 this morning. Thanks for the perspective. I got my Comet back from the body shop last weekend in the dark and still have not been able to look at it in the light to see how the color matches, just too cold to drive it out of the garage. Monday we are supposed to have h...

Re: what did you do to your comet today?

Just heard the new exhaust on my Comet and it sounds great. I tried installing the Hooker Super Comp headers and they would not fit, they were too deep. I then tried the Flowtech shorties which a Holley Tech rep said would definitely fit, they were deeper than the Super Comps. I finally tried the He...

Re: My Comet was hit

So far the process is going smooth. The body shop I chose came and looked at it and gave me a range. The Liberty Mutual estimator came and his estimate was close to the shops range. At this point the body shop is picking up the car today and the insurance company is mailing me a check although they ...
