MY comet when new was that orange color,,can't recall the name.....I for sure didn't want that,so went to the paint store,,looked at red samples,,,chose a shade of vermilon ,base/clear,,,,works for me !! pop

that little trick was shown to me as a very young man ,by one of 2 of the smartest ford men around...one was a drag racer and the other drove dirt track.the dirt tracker has passed away,the drag racer is in his 80's...back in the 60's there was a drag strip local here in town..it's a shopping center...

through out all the yrs of messing with these old fords,,,,yrs before an adjustable rod was discovered on some lost planet...if I had a short rod by just a tad...I would drop the correct size of a steel ball in the MC first,,then the rod....done many that way...still do it today once in awhile on a ...

ON my 66f100.the knob you pull for heat ,you also twist it for the blower,,,the heat valve is located in line on a heater hose....then a seperate knob for defroster.....pop
