Not much to show on the Cobra but thought I'd share a pic of the latest shop addition.
This along with the lathe we bought a couple years ago has been a longtime dream.

Some pictures of the progress since I last posted. Brake & fuel lines, body on chassis etc.

A little brake line and fuel pump work over the weekend.

Looks strange with the headers pointing forward.

After 21 yrs the motor and trans are officially installed.
Now its time to run the brake and fuel lines plus battery cable.

Just an FYI, look at Speedway Motors in the oval track section at some of the rear disc kits. These are a good way to get 11" to 11-1/2" rotors and still be able to run most 15" wheels.

We used a LOKAR "knock off" from Speedway in Ole Rusty. With proper pedal indexing and cable adjustment it works great and a lot cheaper.

A little update from last Saturday. The "post 1970" 4 bolt balancer and driver side water pump are gone and a new 3 bolt balancer and pass side Edelbrock water pump along with the correct pulleys are installed. To me a 65 289 needs to look the part. Not much of an update but some progress considerin...

We had our little helper back last night.

Still have a few things to finalize but its built.

Short Block is back together. 10/10 crank, .030 over

Took the 289 apart to inspect everything. New rings and gaskets ordered. Hope to have it running on the break in stand real soon.
