I have run the holley 2 barrel 500 in the past and it is a good carb. I have run as big as a holley 850 and currently running a demon 750 on my 289. My 289 has alot of compression. I used to run 12.5 to 1 but have tamed it down to 11.5 to 1. A small 4 barrel set-up right would probaly get better gas...

My buddies 64 fairlane ran a 8" with a mini-spool for 7 years. After 3 years he had to replace stock axles as they whee twisting. Never had a problem with wheel hop. The mini-spool was tough on his spring bushings. Mini-spools are ok but lockers or limited-slip set-ups are better. Lockers are noisey...

I have a set of headers from a 66/67 fairlane that are for a 351. They should be similar to a 66/67 comet. I can't remeber what brand but they are but they are a cheaper brand.

I built my own front boxes for my 65. I built a whole rear frame but the spring hangers would be the same. I also just did new spring hangers on my friends 64 fairlane. I'll try to get some pics.

I do not have any pics but found a 64 mustang with AC on e-bay today. You can not see the idler but can see where the pump locates.

I have had problems with bracket also. I started checking out pics on e-bay to help me. Ford had many different bracket and pulley combo's. I don't think I have any pics of cars with AC but I'll look.

I'm looking for some big tube headers and so far no luck. I might have to make my own. I want 17/8' tubes stepped down to fit.

I was working on my 65 last week. Actually I was digging it out so I could start working on it.(it became a shelf again) One of the 4 driveshafts I pulled from under the 65 was marked 65 comet. I'll measure the length tomorrow. I not using my stock drive shaft as I moved my rearend back 13/4 inches ...
