Chrome or Fiberglas?

Post by MegaZap »

:?: My 65 has the original chrome bumper on it, but I also have the fiberglas bumper from my previous Cyclone.
Asking for your opinion - Chrome or Fiberglas?
I was hot to get the fiberglas bumper on the car, but after looking at it a while I like the chrome look.
Two pics here - one of the current car and one of my previous Cyclone with the fiberglas bumper.
:?:
Thanks for your input!

A bumper jack would be rough on a glass bumper,in case of a flat... :D pop

The chrome bumper looks great,if you are going to drag race the car the fiberglass takes a huge chunk of weight off of the front! ROY.

Back in the early to middle 60's,that was a big fad around here, take that front bumper off,but it was done mostly by the chevy boys,us ford boys wasn't as bad as they were, dang near every chevy had it off,I used to piss them off by asking what ya going to do when you try to push start each other !? (sometimes I got a laugh, most of the time I was told where they wanted to stick that bumper ! life was so cool back then 8) ....POP
