Thanks to Loudbang on the HAMB for posting this one-

I'm betting the master cylinder and radiator are '65 Galaxie pieces. Those were the days.

I like the way they cut the cowl open. I guess it is closed off to the cabin, & is to help engine bay heat escape ?

If only Nascar would have let them play ,we might could all afford one of these :D

Thirty plus years ago when I had my Cyclone, I grabbed every book and magazine I could find on these cars. Had some very good articles from '65 on the Bill Stroppe cars with all the specs and parts used for the Cammer installation. Lost all of it during my last move 20 years ago from water damage. Crites was just getting off the ground offering repop fiberglass hoods and Kaase was repopping the Cammer as well. Good times driving my rust bucket and dreaming 8)

I have been fortunate to see quite a few SOHC engines over the years, I believe the first one was when I saw John Vermesh’s orange ‘61 Starliner, he also had a drag boat with a matching engine.
Before Art Chrisman past away I would visit his shop in Santa Ana, California every time I was in the LA area, Art always had a half dozen or more Cammer’s in the shop. He would let me walk around and “drool” over all the cool FoMoCo stuff he had.
I also know a local guy who has a unique collection of hot rods, he has a Cammer on a test stand, when he has a group of guys over to see th collection he would fire up the Cammer!
Straight headers, dual quads, the sound was fantastic!

Don Nicholson's altered '65 blown injected Cammer has to be the craziest door-slammer ever built, IMO.
He was certainly up to the task but I bet his first ride was a bit scary. If my memory serves me, I had seen an old film reel of that car run some years ago and it was almost uncontrollable on the track.

This SOHC wagon was in a car show at Charlotte Motor Speedway several years ago.

The Cammers are currently selling for around $50K..........
Jon Kasse was selling new reproductions for $55K not long ago. Too rich for my blood but always dreamed of owning one in a "65 Cyclone :D
