2023 Auburn Cruise Night - Auburn, CA

Post by JimsHot66 »

Final Auburn Cruise night for 2023.
367 cars, 3 Comets! Mine, a Red 65 that is beautifully redone, and a White 67 that is original (sorry, no pics :( ).
About 2,000 people attended.

I'll bet it was fun, Jim. 3 Comets out of 367 cars...that's about par.  I went to Cars & Coffee this morning, but it was threatening rain and there was a slim turnout. Probably 100 or less. Mostly modern upscale daily drivers that get out in the rain all the time. Most of the guys with restored/restomods/street rods stayed home. I stayed long enough to make one stroll around the lot and talk to a couple of guys, then headed home before the bottom fell out. I was the only Comet there, of course.

I'm fortunate that there are a lot of car events/shows in my area, many for pre 1972 only cars. I go to a lot of these events and in the 2 years I've owned my car I still haven't seen another 1966 Comet in person.

You will, eventually. Three years ago, I sold a '66 Cyclone GT for a guy down here in Louisiana (of all places).
Some may show up @ Fairlane meets, if you can hook up with them.
