2015 Kustom Nats Phillip Island
2015 Kustom Nats Phillip Island
Attended the 2015 Kustom Nats at Phillip Island,on Sunday. This is probably the most picturesque race track in the world.
The red US '63 Falcon Futura hard top used to be LHD but the previous owner unpicked the front clip and dash and welded in an Australian '63 Falcon components. Apparently everything dropped into place. ^::

SASSY, the car with the brass gauge setup is a '62-63 EJ model "Holden".
I rarely mention this, but my first road-registered car was one of these. A dreadful old heap of sh!t, but it got me around until I could afford something better.
"Holden" is the Australian arm of GM, which would explain why you didn't like it
The EJ model was the last to use the 138 cu.in. "grey motor" and the first to use the "red 'box", a 3-speed with no synchro on first. Gutless engine, terrible brakes, no seat belts, 13" dia. wheels, top speed of about 70 MPH, maybe 80 downhill with a tailwind.

Fred it is, or was, or it maybe still, a '63 EJ Holden 4 door sedan. Made by General Motors - Holden . This appeared to be crap but it was someone's attempt at being alternative...and in that he did succeed.SASSY wrote:Thanks for posting! Really enjoyed the pics.

I mainly took pictures of Fords but some were interesting.
