I know this is an age old topic, and I see the off the shelf options. But one thing I've not seen is someone making headers or manifolds from another application (mustang, cougar, truck, etc) fit by modifying the car. Anybody seen this?
I'm just wondering if the reason this isn't done is because it's not practical or because people would rather not modify their car in the ways necessary.
Maybe this is a ridiculous question? I just don't know because I don't have the experience with this car. I purchased this car without an engine installed or any exhaust. So I don't know what it looks like first hand.
Thanks for any insight!

Re: 66 FE Header/manifold Options
Yes, saw a '64 Cyclone drag car years ago with a tube or two running through the fender wells. It was a stock class 289 car, not FE.
Don't know the owner's intentions. Same year I ran into a '65 Cyclone drag car in the same town w/ custom headers that snaked all over the place with no body mods. Also stock class 289 car.
