I was told that Paul Vandely ( Vanderly Race Engines )just found the factory afx Comet his dad raced for a mercury dealer in Biloxi, MS.

Info I got was it was in north east and still has Vanderlys name on it. I would think this means it's in original configuration. I would think he would want it and have the money to buy it. But my info came from a fellow racer.

Judd;I got to meet Sol at the T-Bolt reunion back in 2004,man does he have some stories and pictures to back them up!A good friend of mine has gone back to Sol's Old Drag Racers Reunion a couple of times,would love to be able to afford to make that trip! ROY.

That is the look I am going for on my Comet. Skinny steelies in the front and steelies in the rear. I would love to see more pics.
