Re: spark plugs
NO magical formula for spark plugs, every combo is different!Start with whatever the factory used then go colder or hotter until the combo makes the power you want! JMO , ROY.

Re: spark plugs
I have 45's in my small block, work great
Re: spark plugs
i went to the local big name auto parts store today. i told the guy i needed some autolite 45s for my hotrod comet. he almost laughed me out the door.he said what are you doing, looking for the worst plug possible, and then he said, what do you want to do,change them after every race. i was starting to get warm around the collar. he told me he runs something else in his yapazuky import. i said, bud my motor is 50 years old maybe it likes those autolites. im going to try them,im not taking the advice of some young punk with a yapazuky!!

Re: spark plugs
Fryedaddy - You never know... Seen good results from NGK plugs in SBF's. You never know 'til you look where Motorcraft and Autolite (NOT the company of old!) stuff is made. I've had good luck with the Autolite stuff though!!

Re: spark plugs
i had no idea they were made in china. they seem to perform good so far,but i was concerned when i opened them.three had no gap and 2 the side electrode was out of line with the center electrode. i set the gap on all 8 plugs and aligned the 2 that were crooked. i hate to jerk them back out,so i guess i will see how they do.

Yea, a lot of Motorcraft stuff is made in Mexico, Autolite in China, etc. Never had any problems with any of eithers plugs though!
