Comethead has a stout looking aftermarket crossmember for regular trans mounts,I guess you make a solid spacer.

Pro, I seem to remember guys saying to run a rubber rear mount.
The reason being any flex in the chassis from engine torque will be transferred to the tranny case.
This is probably old school thinking don't know if that has changed.
And I don't know how much cage your car has

I'd rather do it myself if it's done right or not,,,isn't that what hotrodding is all about

Maybe I should research this a little more,i was told solid engine mounts you should have a solid trans mount. As far as roll cage goes its presently a 8 point im considering going with a full. I may just fabricate a crossmember myself..

Pro, I was told the same thing with my car. I 2 motor plates, but my tranny mount is rubber. The crossmember is homemade. It is made of tubular steel with a piece of flat stock in the middle and it was designed to use a mid 70's ford truck (I wish I would have wrote down part #) rubber mount.

A friend of mine has a 60 Falcon with 460 and motor plate along with a solid trans mount. He has been racing that since the 80's and never has had a problem.
