Cable Clutch for T5 in a '66

Post by rditz »

has anyone bought a cable clutch kit to use a T5 in a '66 Comet??

I was on Moderndriveline's web site and they have a kit up to a '65.

I would have thought the '65 cable kit would still work ina '66..

does anyone have any thoughts on this??

I was on the CometEast site and a fellow showed me a kit he made, i really just want to bolt somethin in and have it look and function well.

thanks in advance......

Save yourself some headaches and fab up a hydraulic clutch. I fabbed one up from a 1991 Mazda 626. Works way better than the Z-bar, and no cable to burn up from contact with the headers.
Currently own a 63 Falcon Sprint Hardtop, a 63 Falcon Sprint Convertible & a 65 Mercury Comet Cyclone Clone. All are 4-Speed Cars

I removed the Z bar hardware and was thinking that my main option was the cable.. will consider the hydraulic route..

thanks
