63 automatic transmission shift rod

Post by cypher22 »

So my daughter and i were installing our rebuilt 170 with auto trans and accidentally broke the shift rod. Does anyone know if there is a replacement? Ive looked online and cant seem to find the correct one. Thank you

I have a shift rod on my '64 parts car (6 cylinder car), I will post a pict of it later maybe it would work for you?

Or maybe not, I have the kick down rod probably not what you need, the column and trans are gone from the car already.

Think this s not what you are looking for, I don't even know if this is a Ford part, I assume so because it was under the hood of the parts car when I got it, there might be a difference even how they hook up between the years.

You can see this is a long part about 28 or 29" long. This might be the part that attaches to the part you are looking for?
