So removed the upper control arm, finally got the bushings off, all to clean and get new grease in. Probably never been done before that i know of.
The bushing threads are shot, stripped. Hopefully enough threads left on control arm to tighten new bushings. Otherwise I have to get a new control arm? (I am not a welder).
I am confused on this spacer tool my manual talks about. The picture in the book is not clear nor does it say how long it is. Does this spacer stay
there then after assembly and torquing the bushings? (sorry, newbie at this).
book says to torque at 160-190 .
does anyone have a picture of a spacer tool i can see? even if home made? thanks. john.m
