62 Shelby Drop

Guys, I've got a 62 Comet with the CSRP Kit on the front eith 65 steering. What template do I need? The one that offsets the holes back?(65-66 Mustang)

Got some new wheels also. 😎

Right...I just don't understand the difference between the two and which one I should use!

65-66 stang, or 1'' down,1/8'' back. any more than that & you would need the ball joint wedge thing, & unnecessary for street.

not sure which 2 you are referring to. there are 2 different templates for different years,if you scroll down to the bottom of this link there is a pic of both sets. later years had wider bolt spacing.

but there is another one which is maybe down an inch & a half & back a quarter, but it needs the ball joint wedge thing that re-corrects the angle of the ball joint. you can read about it some where on that dazecar link or opentracker racing. lots of other good tips in there similar to the shelby drop that will help your car drive better,more like a shelby. some are free,just labor. like the ball joint slide,.100'' offset UCA shaft & 1'' perch move.
