Crites spring relocation kit

Post by eckenber »

Just wanted to know if anyone has used the rear leaf spring relocation kit offered thru Crites. With the kit, what is the largest tire you can safely run without rub? Thanks, Russ

My 65 has rear springs relocated (Crites kit maybe?) and mini tub. I've had Hoosier 295-20-15 Quicktime DOT about 10" tread on it without rub.

How stable are the rear leafspring shackles? I was thinking of using their kit on my 63, but i wasn't too sure about the back set-up. They seemed a little weak to me.

I was looking at the leafspring relocation kit too, but i'm afraid to put it into mr drag car. Looks way to weak for how hard my car comes out. I'm going to make something up on my own.

Just got the kit but didn't install yet. Looks cheap in the picture but actually looks like it might work ok. Quality doesn't seem that bad. Only time will tell.

I usually build my own relocation stuff. Tubing and 1/8"plate are cheap.
