My Comet for sale

Post by Joe Travers »

https://www.hagerty.com/marketplace/cla ... 0924a6ca2b

After much deliberation, I've decided to sell my '63 :(
If you are unaware, I spent two weeks in ICU in Jan. on a ventilator and almost lost my life. I'm still very weak and my stamina is pooped out. Spent mucho grande on doctor bills this year and wife got wiped out in a bad wreck that we are still dealing with two months later. To say it has been a hard year is a gross understatement.

Thanks for looking!

Joe

Dang Joe I hate that it has come to this but we all do what we have to do & I'm so glad you are still with us & I will keep you both in my prayers. At that price it should sell very fast. I'd call it priced to sell fast. I can post that link on CC facebook & a couple other FB pages. I certainly hope you continue to stay on here after the comet is gone !

Joe,
Hate to see you sell your Comet but family is priority. Hopefully your and your wife’s health will improve soon and will allow you to eventually buy another car. (Comet)
When the Comet leaves does not mean you have to stop visiting us here at Central, stop in and say hi every once and awhile.

Hate to hear you're selling your Comet, but you gotta do what you gotta do. I hope you and your wife will both continue to improve and make full recoveries soon. Hopefully, selling your Comet will be a temporary situation, and you'll get another set of wheels (hopefully a Comet) when things improve. Don't be a stranger on the forum. It doesn't matter if you currently have a Comet or not, your input to the discussions is valuable to everyone. Besides, I think you've got too much oil and grease running through your veins not to chime in with your friends here. Take care!

Joe had any bites yet? Karl really likes it, he has it's rag top twin sister. said he missed his custom. He's in Slidell. I wish I had the money, I'd fly down and drive it home.

Not yet, John. And that's okay. I'm live and let live. If it doesn't sell in 90 days, I'll keep it 'cause it wasn't meant to be.
Doesn't Karl have red S-22? Nice car, from what I've seen. He's 3.5 hours south of me on Northshore of Lake Pontchartrain.
He's the type I would like to find, a good caretaker.
