Have a ‘63 S22 my Grandson bought . Has frame rails in back and pretty sure strut towers are cut out ! I am not at very familiar with the Comet/Falcon suspension or much else but we are going to give it a go ! Would like some ideas on front susp , tube front end , what 9” will fit , what rear susp , and any ideas . I must admit it took me 5-6 yrs to do my latest ‘65 Belair post car and this Comet is far away from what the Belair was . Pics welcome and email me if wanted .

Wheels and tires?
With rails in the back it really opens up possibilities!!
What style build are you guys going after?
Probably Mustang 2 front is easiest.
IMHO, after you decide on the style, Prostreet, Protour, sled? Etc.
Wheels and tires would be the first purchase then make 'em fit.
Many people have 10 G sitting on an engine stand waiting for someone to figure out how to get a decent tire under the car.

Nice Comet ! I said right away the Mustangll front , I’m gonna need to read up on install . Is your Comet stock susp ? Some pics would help me (front and rear) ! Thanks for the help and hope more people chime in . I’m a lifelong motorhead but usually deal with stock suspensions .

That green one isnt mine just a car I seen at a dragstrip several years ago.
Seeing as your car is back halved already a prostreet seems to be the way to go.
You could go leaf springs like stock but a 4 link and coilovers
would be cool too.
Fab skills?
Does the 17 year old have a budget?(other than grandpa) That is a conversation that needs to happen if it hasn't.

If you haven't looked at it yet you can search through my long budget build thread "Lavron's '64 Build Thread" I have done both a M2 install and a triangulated 4-link rear, I know mine is a year newer but it would be a similar install on a '63.5. Of course I am doing air ride as well.
