Parts Fabricators, Restoration & Custom Shops

Post by kevinshi »

Along the lines of the list of parts/fasteners suppliers (see here), here is a list of fabricators I have found... these folks who I have found who are willing to make/restore parts beyond my limited fabrication skills (beyond the capable folks among Comet Central's membership).
  • Gary's Steering Wheel Restoration. Restored my 65 Caliente convertible steering wheel (including the original wood grain appearance). My wheel was horribly cracked and very bent. Gary did a spectacular job - my wheel looks darn near brand new - straight and beautiful.
  • GCAR Plastic Rechroming & Restoration - Recrhomed/restored '65 instrument cluster bezel (did a FANTASTIC job on mine, highly recommended).
  • O.D.D. Parts Fabrication - Jim Simpson: I hired him to crack open the chrome bezel on a Stewart Warner 81275 Vacuum Gauge and then paint the needle orange to match stock gauges (the closest I could come to a modern vacuum gauge to "match" the original Rally Pac).
Thanks,
kevin
