Good evening all - I'm starting to pull apart my 66 convertible, and was wondering if anyone had any recent chrome plating work, and if they could share some examples. I'd really appreciate the info; I'm in the bay area, and I was pretty shocked by some quotes for trim work.
Thanks
Bryan

It is just flat out expensive!I just had the two windwing pieces done[385.00]!The big problem is finding a respectable shop,I found one down here in Ventura County, but they have to ship it out as the EPA has shut down all the platers here.I have a buddy in San Jose that is into cars,I'll find out who he uses. Thanks for the confirmation. I'm only 9 miles from San Jose, and I've found two shops within 30 miles, but you're right, they are expensive. For the two L-shaped pieces of trim around the base of the convertible top = $200 each and that didn't include polishing the stainless pieces between them.
Thanks
