New Comet Owner

Post by darryl27529 »

Just brought home a 1962 Comet 2 Door. It has a lot of work done (some incorrectly) and a fair amount of missing parts. It has been converted to Mustang Suspension and rear end along with a 302 (ported heads) and a rebuilt C4 and Ford 8 inch. See images. Planning to use Torq Thrust wheels and Radial TA's. Any guidance on wheel size would be super helpful.

I am looking for a set of bumpers and hope that someone can point me in the right direction.

I have learned a lot already by reading this forum and looking forward to getting it back together.

Those wheels look like 15 inch Bronco 2 wheels,,? Fyi 15x8 chev truck bells fit on those centers, black with those little caps would make a cool wheel. Was gonna make me a set then the aluminum slots showed up.
Just sayin,,

Nice I like it already. I hope you got the rear window glass because it is not reproduced.

Thanks guys. I do have the back glass but not the front. Thats good to know that I need to store it carefully before I get ready to put it in. Just started a build thread. I just got back from picking up a 1963 Comet Wagon for parts; I'll ad it to the build thread. Its in really bad condition but has the bumpers and other bits and pieces that I need. I appreciate the support!
