Good Morning!
I have always been a fan of classic cars, helping dad as a kid, and other friends over the years on projects. After spending too much money on new cars over the years, I've finally pulled the trigger on a 1964 Mercury Comet Caliente Convertible. Looks to have been an original 6 cylinder with bench seat car that someone converted to bucket seats and a 289 V8. She needs a little love currently, but runs, drives and doesn't look too shabby from 50 feet away.

Re: Good Morning!
It looks like a good start as long as it is not full of rust and bondo as happens from time to time on old cars.

Welcome! Looks as though you'll have to drive around the clouds, at least for a while. Looks to be a great start.

Welcome Nate. Not too bad from fifty feet? Not sure where you are, but it looks fine from Northern Minnesota!! The buckets with console are a big score, as well as the v8 swap in my opinion. Good luck and enjoy! Cary

Re: Good Morning!
Cool car, Nate!
Nah, that's not a 50 footer.
I have a 20 footer, myself. Don't need better than that in the meantime, maybe later.
Met a racer years ago almost had a stroke when I found a rock ding in his '64 Cyclone fender.

I see that was yrs ago you found the rock ding,,,but OL POP just happens to have a perfect pair of cyclone fenders as spares just in case I happen to need one on one of these 64's we have,,,,every time I get rid of something I'll need it sooner or later,,mostly sooner....popJoe Travers wrote: ↑Tue Nov 03, 2020 5:23 pmCool car, Nate!

Smart move, Pop! Not like these parts are growing on trees. Yeah, that was 25 years ago.
I found a '64 Caliente in a junkyard around that time. Only '64 parts car I found back then.

Welcome aboard, Nate! Nice car. I'd put her more in the 20 foot category except for that top. Until you replace it, just tell everyone it came with the special limited edition flow-through ventilation package.
