You have a cool Pop :D We share some resemblance.
I plan on handing down my Comet to my oldest. Taught him mechanics and love for old Fords.
Welcome on!

well Dad bought one when it was a few years old, and as most 20 year olds would do he started chopping at it, put a straight axle under it, drove it and loved it until he blew the motor(unsure how). At this time family came along and he parked it until he could afford to fix it. Fast forward 45 years, Dad still hadn't touched it, and was diagnosed with terminal cancer. As a joke my sister mentioned wouldn't it be funny if we could find a comet like dads old one. Sure enough she searched it on kijiji and found one all original the exact model and color as his 1 hour from her house in BC. So after many conversations she purchased the car sight unseen picked it up and drove it across the country in 4 1/2 days to little old PEI to give it to him as a surprise, He was able to drive it and love it for about 3 months before he was to sick to drive and shortly after passed, since then I have taken ownership and living his passion on. Since I've made a few mods: Wheels, drum/disk conversion, Rack and Pinion steering, and built a 302 H.O. Paint is going to be a big undertaking as its blistering alot of places and should have quarters replaced. Seen in picture above is both cars sitting side by side in his front yard.
Thanks Again
Duffy

Great story Duffy. Thanks for taking the time to type it up here.
Would be interested to know where in BC the car was purchased and any interesting particulars about it?

I’m not sure on the specifics. It was near souris if I’m not mistaken. Guy that previously owned it had it restored 15plus years prior to the sale. Lost interest in it and wanted a good home.

I had tried to join a few years earlier but got lost in the registration process.
