I sold my 64 in 97, I just picked up another one this week.
This is the one I sold.

Is there a source for quarter panel patch panels?

Welcome aboard! :D I had a 41 year gap between my first and second 65 Cyclones. Felt good to get one back in my garage. Looking forward to your build thread and following your progress.

Cool ! Welcome on! there is a guy on facebook who has been making some patch pieces for a 64 . look pretty good too! I think his name is Jim Sweeny ,not spelled right. If I can find it I'll send you a link to the post if you're on FB.

Thanks poboyjo,
Yes I’m on FB ,I like the Group Two vintage race page I’m also on a Comet page.
I think Sassy’s car is featured as the lead photo on one of the pages I follow.

Nice car!
Do you plan on painting the new one black too?
A lot of good guys here with a ton of knowledge.

I’m honestly thinking of keeping it red.
The paint that is there is mostly good enough. Except for the lower parts of both rear quarters.
Somebody sanded the top of the left front fender so that will get paint.
I don’t want to become a slave to the paint…again!
The molding are all good,I do need the lower drivers door piece,window are good. The grill and rear panels need the detail pant but are in good shape.

Well it says sold out on the post now,but here it is on ''Mercury Comets'' page if you want to try to sweet talk him, the name was Jim Swezey;

you may have to join the page to see it. on a desktop you can click on his name & see all the post he made on that site for more pics. I think (guessing) he just got burnt out & wanted to get back to work on his car.
