Hello - Jr from Southern Maryland. Bought this baby 4 years ago and am always looking for parts and ideas. Looks like I found the the right forum
Just removed a BW 5 speed and installed an AOD from a 85’ mustang. Nice to drive an auto after years of shifting.

Hey, Jr.!
Cool car. Had an old girlfriend that had one. Drove like a bat out of Hades.
IIRC, she wrecked it. Long long time ago.

Welcome. Nice looking Comet.
Back when we were a 3 Comet family I owned a ‘71 GT, a ‘72 GT and my ‘64 Cyclone.
Both the GT’s were 302’s, one 4speed, the other C4.

Yea it took a while to get it right but after modifying the throttle bracket and installing a pressure gauge got it fine tuned to shift as desired. Scratches 2nd and 3 rd every time . Overdrive is nice 2,000 rpm at 60 mph.Boss/Cyclone wrote: ↑Mon Oct 16, 2023 5:48 pmWelcome, that is a nice looking Comet. An problems getting the tv cable on the AOD to work with your setup?
