New Rear Suspension & Wheel/Tires.
New Rear Suspension & Wheel/Tires.
Here are pics of the new rear suspension (Dearborn Classics 2" lowered leaf springs & leaf spring insulators, Edelbrock shocks, Rare Parts shackles, bushings) & the new Cragar S/S Wheels. 15 x 7 rears w/235/60/15 BFG's & 15 x 6 fronts w/215/65/15 BFG's. This combined with the new front suspension I installed has made this Comet ride really nice! What a difference!

Looks great! I think you nailed the stance.

Thank you so much! I wanted to put era correct wheels on it & I remember being a kid & seeing all the 60's musclecars with cragar s/s's on them. They just looked awesome. Plus they're not exspensive! lol! Jeffb.guggenmos wrote:Gotta love Cragar S/S's on a Comet. Looks great. Brian

Re: New Rear Suspension & Wheel/Tires.
Looking good, I had been thinking about running my exhaust out in front of the wheels too.

Re: New Rear Suspension & Wheel/Tires.
This is the look I am going for with my car. What is the correct back spacing for front and back wheels? will an 8 inch rim fit in the rear wheel well? Thanks, Jim
It's like a Falcon only cooler!
Re: New Rear Suspension & Wheel/Tires.
I agree with the others - you nailed the stance - nice rig!
oh - and I learned something today - I had no idea Edelbrock made shocks!

OK, I'm late to the party but I love the car.
Careful your character's showing!
Re: New Rear Suspension & Wheel/Tires.
I put 18x8 all the way around, fits awesome, 255 35 18 in back and 225 40 18 in the front
