1966 Comet Project

Post by Jurz »

A new project I picked up in GA. I have a brand new 429, C6 and 9 inch for her.

Good start for a big block car!
Looks pretty solid. 289/C4 now?

i saw the worlds fastest fairlane at Bristol back in the 80s.it was a 67 with a 429 in it. its a big job removing the shock towers to get a 429 to fit.but i guess you knew all that before hand. a 427 or 428 would drop right in.

Nice, all the best with your build. I’ve been looking for a two door comet as well, all the ones I find are to far for travel, or to costly.

That thing ought to scoot pretty good when built, I’ll be following the build.

That looks like a great starting point. From the picture seems to be pretty complete, just needs your time and some cash.
1965 Mercury Cyclone former drag car, 1971 Boss 351 engine, 4 speed, ladder bars, etc. Now returned to a street car.
