2 65's of differant brands

My father-in-law had His 65 GTO up at the shop the other day and I was standing there looking at them and thought it was amazing how much they look alike so I snapped a couple photos. Thought you all might like a look.

The GTO would look a lot better if it had the Comet's roof.

I would think there was some spying going on back then. but who knows who?

I always believed these two cars were cousins, they have several similiarities like the stacked headlaights, the finned rear lights etc. i like both cars but probably the Comet just a little more. It is funny that many people think my car is a GTO as many younger folks have never heard of a Comet.

My wife always had a soft spot for the 65 GTO. That's why it was so easy buying my 65 Caliente a few years ago. She said it looked like a GTO in the back. Mark
