FLYWHEEL

Putting together parts list for my engine swap ,302 from summit , need new flywheel 50 oz, 157 tooth, should I go with A cast iron OE or ductile steel type , steel one weighs 20 lb, and cast iron weighs 25 lb , whats your opinion on this.

What kinda rpm are you planning on turning?? The ductile is going to be better, but i assume its the cost holding you back?

I called modern driveline ,they recommended A ductile steel one , for $150.00 . all other parts ,transmission are from them ,so I will go with their recommendation

Well for sure id go with what they reccomend, just out of curiosity, whar kinda power are you going to be makeing

The HP should be in the range of 275,
