If you're talking about the GM cap on a Ford distributor well; it just ain't right! I'll never understand it. GM guys are hard enough to put up with let alone be caught using any of their stuff on a Ford.

I built a 351W powered roadster for a friend that really wanted that distributor! We could never get it to run right,it didn't fit well either, had to grind the manifold,it finally ate itself up!!! I talked him into a MSD Ready-to-Run,works great! JMO,ROY.

I have a proform hei. junk. shoulda known better. noticed it wobble from the beginning. had it replaced, same thing.about 5 thousand miles ,the pick up coil went out. took it apart, TWO piece shaft. I guess it was a gm with an extention. I think the wobble was caused by the two piece junk, & let the bushing wear out & hang on the pick ups. ate it self up.
