351C in a 63 Comet or 63 Meteor?

Post by AggieRacer »

Howdy!

I'm sooo glad I found this forum. Does anyone know if a 351C will fit in a 63 comet? I've seen alot of people posting about the 351W in a 64 and such but nothing about a 351C. I've got a 63 comet complete (originally straight 6) ready to buy for $350 but need to know if the heads on the 351C will clear without shaving the shock towers. If they won't, would they fit in the 63 Meteor?

I don't know if the shock towers in a 63 are that much different than a 65 but a 351 C fits in a 65 barely. It is a thight fit but goes in.

Hey Boss/Cyclone - do you have any pics of the Cleveland in yours? I'm kind of at a standstill on my project for now, but am going to eventually put a 351C in my 65 convertible. Thanks.
