in my project car, i have some surface rust, bad paint, etc. i wire brushed all of the trunk that i could reach. i took the tank out and brushed the bottom of it then i sprayed on a whole can of rubberized under coating. i figured what the hey its the outside of the gas tank in the back of the car! i was planning to use por-15 on the top of the tank and the floor of the trunk. is this a good idea? a friend suggested that i use one of the roll on truck bed coatings because its cheaper and just as good. what do you all think?

I like por 15. and im not sure the bedliner material is intended to put directly over bare metal. there are other more reasonalble products on the market. i cant say the quality as i only used the por 15. good luck
