Ya, I went back to work just to get some time to work on the Comet
Or maybe that was to pay for the work on the Comet,, anyway if I ain't productive I ain't happy.
Hey Pops how far along is the Cobra?
I'd rather do it myself if it's done right or not,,,isn't that what hotrodding is all about
it's a roller right now,FRED,,,had the engine/tranny in it twice,,,me and son were talking the other night,,a couple of hrs a night for 30 days ,it'd be driving..less paint, the body is already in primer sealer, the frame is blasted and powder coated,,there is nothing to build or make for it ,,,just put it together.....it's just waiting on time, like son is out of state right now on company doings ...pop

Hey, maybe put a hitch on Old Rusty and trailer the Cobra to Pigeon Forge '19?
that would be a site to behold going down the hwy...don't think the cobra would fit in ,but if the notion was to strike me just right ,OL POP ain't scared to try anything at least once....thanks POP
Taking a little break from the Cobra build to do some upgrades on "ole Rusty". Next up is a set of Strange 31 spline axles, 6 something gear, disc brakes along with new springs, adjustable shocks, some clean up and paint.
the rear housing will fit into our bead blaster,so everything will get blasted and painted,,,plan on using different colors of paint to make it stand out !!! we have new mufflers to install also,,,we have to run mufflers after 9'00 pm at this drag strip,We may not outrun a fat man,,but that's OK,,,we just want to have a fun time and when it's time to come home,,,,we always want the car to load it's self back on the trailer,,,,un-broke !!!...thanks for looking and reading this stuff....POP
WE got the 31 spline axles and bearings in today,,ready for the building process.along with bead blasting and paint..,,,we have disc brkes to install....gonna be pretty neat when all done...then to the drag strip to see how much out of practice we are on shifting a 4sp,,,,we started this project better part of 25 yrs ago just before the cobra project....things and general life always got in the way....but it seems all is coming in full circle...OL rusty might be a hand full in a matter of wks...pop

We are very pleased with the workmanship of Strange Engineering on the axles and I sure like the fact of threaded lug stud holes vs the press fit.
The rear disc are a mixture of what we have used in our dirt track racing and other projects which keeps the cost down to about $250 for the complete upgrade.
