Weatherstripping prices

Post by mercuryman »

Wow!!! Why is weatherstripping so expensive? Just checked Steele rubber products website. Over 650 bucks for a 10 piece kit for my 65. Are there more reasonable options out there?

I got a personal quote from them and yes their price was high. They don't even have all the weather stripping included. I ended up buying individual pieces from Dearborn Classics. Their products seemed well made and they worked good. I had a little trouble with the front windshield. The windshield was a replacement and the seal was not a tight fit where it curves on the bottom at the ends. So I had to massage the seal a little and inject some sealant between the window and seal. It worked out.
