I wonder the price on the sale?
The McCoy Mercury car is still for sale @ $275K. That's a little over $29K in 1965 dollars.

11.30s,, 126 mph,, aren't today's cars going about a second faster with that kind of mph?
I'd rather do it myself if it's done right or not,,,isn't that what hotrodding is all about

Today a healthy street car does sub 11’s, I would guess tire size and technology is a factor between then and now.
