Everything looks great Lou!!!
Dang I had to cut a hole for my Lakewood bellhousing in the exact same place you did! I made up a small domed shape cover for it and tacked it in.

Enjoying this build! Can’t wait to see it screaming done the road

Thanks John.

Thanks Joe, once I get the hole to size I am going to also make a cover but will glue it on since the floors are all painted

Put the transmission in after engine was in. Couldn't get the trans high enough for the crossmember to bolt in, the bell housing was hitting floor. I really didn't want to remove trans, bell housing and such to beat the floor, especially while I was nursing a hernia! So I just cut a hole in the floor from the top.

I've always wondered about that one, Lou. Barely enough room to bolt on a stock 6 bolt @ the top.
It's all slick as a whistle 👍 You do great work man.

"Yea I plan on driving it a lot !! Was hoping for me and my kid to take it to the Woodward cruise in august but going to be down for a few weeks from the surgery so might not make that. But I will be running this year!"

I had that surgery this spring. NO LIFTING for about 5 weeks. Glade to hear you want to drive it. Take care of yourself.

Drivers side trans tunnel, right beside where the gas pedal should be. Ya can see the two bolt holes for the pedal in the floor.

Lou

Edit: looking at the bell housing from the rear of car hole is about 11 o clock on bell

If you make it up for Woodward let me know. We can meet up. I try to make it as much as possible, it is pure auto insanity.

Just wait till she's about about 3 years old and runs to hug you around your legs when they come to visit. That'll melt your heart. :D
