Recently on BaT

Two recently listed on BaT. Didn't think $40k would do it for the Fairlane. Not sure what to say about the $126k for the Galaxie

Id take the yellow one(dislike yellow!) all day before I'd walk across the street for that 64(late 63maybe). Stock so the Galaxie will sit and gather dust in a collection,,,,,,
I'd rather do it myself if it's done right or not,,,isn't that what hotrodding is all about

I have always preferred the 63.5 galaxie over the 64. Sharper lines, but R code galaxie's have been $80-90,000 for years. Just shows how inflation is hitting everywhere.

A dream car of mine was '62 406-6V w/ 4 speed. White w/ red interior. Got over that when I found my Comet.
Found this pretty solid '63 1/2 XL HT 390 4 speed car last year for sale but passed.

Needed new floor pans, interior, quarter panel repair behind wheel well on driver side. Spark plugs were pulled.
Complete car w/ buckets & console. Asking price + restoration cost was more than it was valued @ the time.
Maybe I should have bought it. Prices are up almost 100% over last year :(
