Ford's WWII War Effort

Post by Jims65cyclone »

Just one of Ford's many contributions to the war effort during WWII. It's amazing what they did, and the time frame in which they did it.

Wow!! Great video thanks for posting Jim.
I read somewhere that the Willow Run plant also supplied “knock down” B24 kits to other factories. Basically an unassembled airplane in a few crates. The USAs production capabilities during WW2 were amazing. The Nazis and Japanese didn’t have a chance.

& they could be again Joe!
I'm seeing lots of places changing tooling/whatever to help the war against corona. Ford is making ventilators from f-150 parts, & I've heard similar efforts by chuvy & others ,several breweries here & around the country are bottling hand sanitizer , even in my small town the carhart plant is contributing;

It'd sure be nice if something good came out of this terrible virus ,,,, & helped to spur the country into manufacturing more stuff at home vs depending on other countries. maybe it would help get our homeless in a home & working.

Sometimes there is a job to do, we don't need politics, just let the American people and manufactures do the job together we can overcome any challenge.

Loved the video, the impossible made possible.

See Ya,
